Tricia & Jeremy ~ Wedding ~ La Jolla

Tricia & Jeremy’s gorgeous outdoor wedding took place late this summer along the La Jolla coast. We came to know Tricia through an amazing organization called the Young Women’s Leadership Program. Each year, Tricia mentors a group of young, impressionable women, teaching them leadership, confidence, initiative, and many other life skills. We’ve come to know Jeremy for his dedication to health and golf fitness. It’s no wonder why these two individuals, who are so dedicated to helping others, have found their perfect match in each other. We are so inspired by Tricia and Jeremy’s story! For Jeremy, this day is memorable for more than one reason. Not too long ago he suffered a serious injury, marking one of the most difficult struggles in his lifetime. On this day, he has come full circle and has arrived at one of the happiest moments in his union to Tricia.

This perfectly sunny San Diego day started at the Grande Colonial Hotel and at the Bull & Bear Bar & Grill in La Jolla. We all headed over to the La Jolla Financial Building on Prospect Street to find a picturesque outdoor venue for a ceremony and tented reception overlooking the ocean. As the sun set, the party was in full swing with everyone celebrating the gorgeous Tricia & Jeremy! Here are a few of our favorite images from the day. You can view their wedding slideshow here.

Ande & Aaron ~ Wedding ~ Balboa Park, San Diego

We’ve had the privilege of Ande & Aaron’s friendship for the past 3 or 4 years now. So it was an honor to photograph one of the most important days of their lives together! Ande’s day started like any other bride’s day…with hair and makeup. Aaron’s day started like any normal groom’s day…with a round of beers and a game of billiards! Afterwards, we all congregated at the Marston House in Balboa Park for one of the most romantic ceremonies we’ve ever seen. Ande and her father rolled up in style in a gleaming white Bentley!!!

The night was capped off at the Spanish Village Art Center in Balboa Park. We love, love, love this venue with all its colors, style, lights, and ambiance! Wedding ~ Linh & David ~ Lucky Star

Linh and David returned home to San Diego to get hitched. We can’t help but think they were trying to escape the heat and humidity of Atlanta, aka Hotlanta, where they recently relocated. If that was the case, it didn’t work…the heat followed them!

Linh & David’s wedding was a blast! Everyone made us feel like part of the family, making sure we were fed and that we were celebrating with them. After a morning tea ceremony, we swept them away to one of our favorite buildings in San Diego for some portraits, then headed back to Lucky Star for a HUGE party. It was a pleasure to be part of your day, congratulations Linh & David!

Linh & David ~ Engagement Session ~ San Diego

A few weeks ago, we took off on a little adventure with Linh & David. We started off at a slow and steady pace, shooting around some old abandoned buildings. It wasn’t long before they were warmed up…they got into their own groove and pretty much forgot about us! It seemed like they were in their own little world, having moments that are rarely ever seen by others. We were sneaky and stole a few of those moments…check it out! Wedding ~ Liz & Eric ~ Orfila Vineyards and Winery

The Orfila Vineyards and Winery in Escondido is one of the prettiest and most romantic settings…and the perfect place for Liz & Eric to get hitched! Liz and Eric’s day was full of love and laughter, wine and sunshine, tears and cheers, and so much creativity! Delicate touches like the vegetable centerpieces, the twinkling lights, and even their dog Toby doing a great job as the ring bearer…everything was uniquely Liz and Eric. It’s undeniable, Liz and Eric are so deep in love. It’s unabashed, giddy, and unconditional love!

I love this photo of the kids perched at the top of a hill, overlooking the vineyards and mountains…so picturesque!

Just a few detail shots from the reception. I love the vegetable centerpieces! The rocks are symbolic of good thoughts and best wishes for the couple. And did you notice the table numbers…binary code! Brilliant!

Wed Zeppelin ~ Live! at the Abbey! … aka Kathy & Ben ~ Engaged!

Kathy & Ben’s engagement session was so kickass! This was by far our most unique shoot ever! A few months ago, we met up with Kathy and Ben to brainstorm some ideas for their shoot. Our jumping off point was their super creative wedding website: Wed Zeppelin, the Peterson/Valdoria Wedding Experience (check it out!). Their entire wedding is going to be like a live rock show, starring none other than Kathy & Ben! So we knew these photos had to rock. We shot downtown at the Spreckels Theatre, than later on at a recording studio, which was completely awesome! She grabbed her guitar and he snatched up his drum sticks and they ROCKED!!!
