Our Mini Date at Sea World

Surprisingly, it’s been a pretty hectic month this December!  Even though we shot our last wedding of the year in November, we’ve been busy shooting a ton of other fun things like engagement sessions, bridal sessions, and lots of family portraits.  I must admit, I love staying busy and I definitely love shooting as often as possible.  But it’s nice to take a breather every now and then.

This morning we took a little break from work (not to mention the last minute Christmas shopping) and went on a mini date to Sea World!  We have annual passes, so it’s really nice to just drop in, pet some dolphins, and stuff ourselves with funnel cake once in a while. Here’s Jojo trying to sneak a photo of me, but I’m too quick!

The bat rays at Forbidden Reef are SO COOL!!!  You slap your hand on the water and they come right up to you!  Supposedly they like it when you rub their heads and fins.  Check out this character in the bottom right of the photo, what a ham!

Now ‘ere’s a real beauty! This is a Southern Ground Hornbill, a huge prehistoric bird from the grasslands and savanna of sub-Saharan Africa.

“Help me, help me!” screamed the little grub.

Isn’t she beautiful? I can’t get over these long lashes!

It’s always refreshing to take some time out for a little adventure. That’s why we love Sea World, always an adventure each time we visit.  Now it’s back to business as usual.  Check back soon, we’ve got some awesome engagement photos coming up!
