Hi everyone! So sorry to leave you hanging with just these pictures and no explanations. We have been non-stop jumping around from place to place, and loving every second of it! South Korea is one of the most beautiful countries I have ever seen, with its endless mountains, gorgeous clouds and skies, majestic ancient temples, AMAZING FOOD!!!. I could write for hours about the food here, it’s nothing like Korean food we’ve experienced in San Diego restaurants. For example, when we eat at a restaurant near the ocean, literally almost in the water, the food is served to us raw and writhing (just like Gollum likes it!). I ate an octopus tentacle today that was still squirming, and actually suctioned onto my cheek!!! It’s all so fresh here! The vegetables too! And the tea! And the rice! I can’t go on enough about this place.
More later, we must return to the temple where we’re staying in the mountains. No internet there, we just went to the city today to eat by the ocean. The temples are amazing by the way, built in 1400 AD, zen monks walking around everywhere. We wake up every morning at 3am for chanting with the monks, then we visit all the zen masters that live in the mountains in their own temples and have tea with them. So awesome! It’s unreal, seriously. More pictures next Monday or maybe Tuesday when we get back.
