Another year rolls around, another birthday, and another night of good times with the family. My mom and our childhood friend Isaac drove down to San Diego from Moreno Valley so we could celebrate my mom’s birthday. We had a great dinner at RK Cafe in Hillcrest, complete with sushi, sake, and delicious hamachi kama!!! After dinner Isaac, Tiffany, and I went bar-hopping in Pacific Beach. Isaac is moving back to Hawaii in a few weeks
so we wanted to take him out for a night on the town! We hit up Cabo’s and Bub’s before setting up shop in PB Bar & Brill. Here are a few pictures from last night. Stay tuned, we’ll be at a karaoke bar tonight and you know those pictures will be funny!
Here’s my beautiful mother at the young age of 21!
The best part of dinner was the hamachi kama (yellowtail cheek). We always used to wonder why our parents would fight for the fishheads, and now we finally understand. The cheek of a fish is so tender, so buttery, and so soft, not to mention mouthwateringly delicious!
Jojo and his signature pose.
Can you read the lighting on the wall? I love shadows!
What could Tiffany possibly be thinking about?
Oh, she’s thinking about getting frozen yogurt at Yog-Art after this.
Isaac doesn’t appear to be happy about this situation. Can anyone guess if Tiffany made it over his head?
This one’s for your Isaac, I HAD to put it up.
